Small City, Big History
Perched on the banks of the Hudson River, Hudson is only two hours north of New York City and has become an urban oasis in the country with the Catskills Mountains as its backdrop. Its evolution from Franz VanHousen’s farm to a commercial whaling town while remaining a stomping ground for the Hudson River School of Painting has brought an eclectic and varied history. This particularly rich history has allowed Hudson to look back proudly while looking forward progressively as a cornerstone for artisans of every field.
