Samascott Orchards

Samascott Ochards is a family owned and operated farm that was started in the early 1900's.  In its early days, the farm was much like other farms of its time; Many crops were grown, but dairy products and caring for dairy cows were the main focus.

From the 1940's through the early 1960's, the second generation owner, Oliver Samascott, increased the size of the farm from its original 180 acres to our present 1,000 acres.  Much of this newly purchased land already had existing apple orchards on it. By 1970, the focus of the farm shifted from dairy to apples where the selection has jumped from the original 5 varieties to now 72 varieties.

Slowly, the abundant, fertile land became used for the addition of other crops.  Today, Samascott Orchards grows hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables.
